Reiki Volunteering in Wheat Ridge, Colorado

When: Reiki Volunteer Work - alternate Wednesdays in Wheat Ridge for VistaCare employees.

Time: 3:00pm-5:30pm

If you would like to volunteer: there were lots of volunteers from April 2008 - June 2009, but then there weren't
enough volunteers to continue coordinating, however if you would like to volunteer on a Wednesday please
email me or give me a call (303) 861-2280 and give me a date(s) you are available and I can get in touch with VistaCare and set something up.

What to Bring:

Bolster (or pillow to act as a bolster)
CD player or Mp3 player & Reiki Music CD. You can do your session in silence.

Optional to bring:

Face cradle covers (there will be paper towel there that doubles as cradle covers)
Business cards
Hand Sanitizer - or pop into the restroom between clients to wash hands.

Who can Volunteer: Anyone that has taken a Reiki workshop with me or that has completed at least Reiki I (a seven hour+ in-person course).

Where and for Who: VistaCare - Wheatridge, Colorado Their website is www.vistacare.com. Volunteers are giving Reiki sessions to employees of VistaCare i.e. office staff, nurses, etc. The address for Reiki Volunteering is 4350 Wadsworh Blvd. Suite 250 Wheat Ridge, CO 80033.

Things to Consider: For these sessions I'd focus on doing mostly hands-on work and working on the recipients head and back and any other areas they request. Avoid working directly on the face, breasts or groin.

Logistics: You'll be giving about seven 15-17 minute Reiki Sessions. You'll check in at the front desk and ask for Linda Johnson. A massage table will be set up in a conference room. Paper towels or other disposable face cradle covers will be provided. (Or if you prefer - bring pillow cases or flannel cradle covers).

Want to do more extensive volunteer work? Then check out Lifespark. They do require Reiki I and II certification and 50 practice hours before enrolling in their program as a volunteer.

Cancellations: If you need to cancel - please give as much notice as possible so I can try to fill your spot. If you cancel with 72 hours or more you can email me. If it's less than 72 hours (3 full days) call me on my cell phone at (303) 861-2280.
